Stop. Look. And listen.

Both sides are wrong.

There I said it.  My thoughts on this Mid-East thing going on in Gaza.

And we are never going to have peace there until the Palestinian issue is solved.  For good.  And that does not mean driving Israel into the sea. Sorry.  They have a right to be there.

But so, too do the Palestinians.

There is more than enough finger-pointing going on during this battle for headlines.  What needs to happen is serious minds from Israel and from the Arab states need to sit down and say here are solutions, what can we do? And then start negotiating.  And the United States, who announced after the last FREE elections which Hamas won, that the organization was a terrorist group and would not be recognized by this country…that same United States, needs to take a very, very, very low key role in this.  Maybe butt out all together. Perhaps the whole world should. It isn’t our business. It’s theirs.

This is a very volatile situation. we do not need politicians on our side of the pond lobbing fuel to the fire. Nor do we need Iran, Egypt and Syria stoking the flames as well. Can these two societies live on the same strip of land in peace and harmony?  That is the question.

It is going to take give and take on both sides.

It will not be easy, but negotiating will be far better than killing innocent civilians on both sides. Sit down. Talk. Listen. Compromise. Work it out.

The world is watching. And Hamas, stop the rockets. Israel, ground the planes.  Let the skies over this part of the globe be free of war craft for a few weeks. Let the wailing of the dead’s families subside and then come together and talk.

Don’t shout. Talk.

And listen.
